Robert S. Goodman (Pastor)

Robb and Donna Goodman came to Summerville Baptist Church in November, 2005. "I came to know Jesus as my personal Savior and Lord as a 14 year-old boy.  I thank God for Sunset Point Baptist Church; the church of which I became a part of and was able to grow in my relationship with Jesus Christ.  As I made myself available to the Lord, He revealed to me His will for me to pastor a local body of believers.  I love God's people and I consider it a joy to serve the Lord as a pastor.  I feel that the responsibilities of a shepherd include not only feeding the flock, but helping them in their times of need.  I have a heart for the church and consider it a privilege to be a shepherd."  Robb and Donna have been blessed with three sons - Caleb, Jordan and Josiah - and one daughter, Libby.  Family is very important to Robb and is his primary duty in ministry.  "Summerville is a family of believers that desires to glorify God.  We want to share the good news of Christ with everyone in our community, state, nation, and world.  Our hope is that you will come be a part of all God is doing in and through the lives of our people.  We know that Jesus came to give us life and that life is full and meaningful.  Not just full of activity - full of God's grace and power to overcome.  Our prayer is that you will experience the life you were meant to live which can only be found through Jesus."  Robb earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from Florida Baptist Theological College and  Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Steven M. Pace (Associate Pastor of Music & Senior Adults)

Steve came to Summerville Baptist Church in the summer of 2005.  He is a life-long Baptist by choice, a minister of the Gospel by the call of Christ and a Christian by the grace of God.  A native of Atlanta, Steve earned a Bachelor of Music from Mercer University and a Master of Music from the School of Music at Southwestern Seminary.  Steve served as Minister of Music at Rainbow Park in Decatur, GA, First Baptist Church in McDonough, Ga, First Baptist Church in Jesup, GA and Hamilton Baptist Church in Hamilton, GA before moving to Phenix City.  It was at Summerville where Steve met and married his wife, Kristyn.  They are blessed with two children - Jonathan and Allison.  "I am profoundly grateful for the Summerville Baptist Church family who serve with me and support the mission of the church in the community.  To truly witness for Christ, we must get beyond our walls.  My personal philosophy of ministry has always been to help lift the community however possible.  Everybody benefits when only God gets the glory."  Steve is currently a member of the Lee-Russell Ministerial Association.  He is the founder and President of the Voices of the Valley Community Children's Choir, housed within the Schwob School of Music at Columbus State University.  He is a member of, and tours with, two professional men's choirs: The Centurymen, an auditioned male chorus, and The Sons of Jubal.   He is also an active member of the Phenix City Rotary Club.  "My hope is that through joining in song, we can be a part of unifying the whole community through our children."
